I moved to my first apartment in Sweden in November 2022. Soon after the first snow came and covered the earth under a thick white blanket. The nights are long during that time. We only have around 6 hours of sunlight on the shortest day of the year on the Winter solstice.

Amidst this magical setting I had my first encounter with two beautiful moose in our neighbourhood. 

They were standing on a snowy hill right next to the road and their black shillouettes against the night sky made them even more impressive than they already were. They were peacefully munching on the naked twigs of a tree and didn't pay us any attention when we drove by in our car. 

This experience had me so excited that I had to paint them.
